Iyaz- audience research

After gaining an understanding of the kind of gender and age groups accessing this kind of music, I was intrigued to find out who is making that extra effort to keep up to date with the artist and were he is performing. These are the audience we will ideally want to attract as they will most likely be the most loyal. I have searched both Iyaz' twitter and Facebook pages and have looked at the people who have liked his page in order to get an understanding of who his more committed fans are. Of the 8 friends who have liked the Iyaz Facebook page it also seems that a majority of those are teenage girls.

This gives us a localized idea of what kind of an audience we are aiming our video at. The general demographic is teens, with males being the greater consumer of this type of music. Given that the results have gone this way and that our song has two men singing our song we will probably do the video from the perspective of the man.
